A man inside an AI robotic spacesuit must navigate through his own minefield.

Alexandra (Andrea Trepat) has been obsessed with outer space and the possibility of extraterrestrial life for as long as she can remember. She has dedicated her career to working for SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) and so tonight is no different than any other night at the lab, until she receives a signal. There’s an intricate process of verification to follow, as a storm rages outside, and her sister informs her that their ailing father may not last the night. With only an hour of access left to use the lab, Alexandra must choose between the possible discovery of alien life and her commitment to her family in a time of tragedy.

Director Luis Tinoco makes excellent use of the single location, introducing further complications to ratchet up the tension while we consider what we would sacrifice to achieve our greatest goals, especially something that would change the entire world, forever. Trepat’s performance grounds the story in her struggles, even though we may find it hard to justify her decisions, there’s a truth that she conveys that is difficult to ignore. Though more of a drama than a sci-fi thriller, THE ANTARES PARADOX takes us on a thought-provoking and emotional ride.

“Inspiring and uplifting in equal amounts, Harvey and Kummer’s fangs-and-all documentary is, like its subject, one of a kind.”

“By the triumphant curtain call, as young Scott trots onstage for a very professional bow in full Xenomorph garb, it’s clear “Alien on Stage” has completely captured the hearts of the audience – film, theater, and Christopher Guest lovers alike.”

“You will be giggling and laughing your way throughout as the cast flounce and flounder through a stage production like no other. It is absolutely glorious.”
