A couple making love in the forest experience a life-altering encounter.

Our festival wouldn’t be complete without at least one drug-induced, coming-of-age, horror tale. Morgan Saylor stars as the ponytailed and innocent Millicent, who’s been hired by accomplished author Rebecca to babysit her allergic-to-everything son, Johnny. It’s a great fit because Millicent just happens to be working on her thesis on children with severe allergies. Now Rebecca can focus on her next book and her husband Jacob can focus on doing his yard work without his shirt on. Seems ideal right? But while lacking a family of her own and seeking escape from the creepy arrangement she has with her…let’s call him roommate, Millicent ensnares herself in the family’s dysfunctional lives. She quickly forms a disturbing bond with the sickly Johnny, and then catches the eye of his sweaty father, all while becoming more liberal with the LSD she is supposed to be micro-dosing as part of a therapeutic treatment. As Johnny’s behavior becomes increasingly more violent and Millicent’s psychedelic hallucinations become more disturbing, the story converges to take the viewer on one hell of a nasty ride.
“Inspiring and uplifting in equal amounts, Harvey and Kummer’s fangs-and-all documentary is, like its subject, one of a kind.” – Marc Savlov, Austin Chronicle
“By the triumphant curtain call, as young Scott trots onstage for a very professional bow in full Xenomorph garb, it’s clear “Alien on Stage” has completely captured the hearts of the audience – film, theater, and Christopher Guest lovers alike.” – Jude Dry, Indiewire
