The director of THE BALLAD OF SQUIRT REYNOLDS & SISURRUS STIRS brings us this heartwarming tale of young love and exploding faces.p

Paul Dood’s (Tom Meeten) hopes and dreams are pinned on performing in a national talent competition. He may be a little long in the tooth, compared to the young social media stars of the day, but he can sing, and he can dance, and he loves his mum, who he happens to live with, and designs his costumes. That’s a triple threat! Unfortunately, through a series of misadventures, ending with the belligerent indifference of competition host Jack Tapp, Paul’s dream is dashed, and tragedy ensues. Taking an extra-long lunch break from his job at the thrift shop, Paul sets out on a course of bloody revenge, unintentionally bestowing upon him internet fame. At the same time, he’s pursued by the authorities.

Jam-packed with a host of British talent, director Nick Gillespie has crafted a feel-good romp with a body count. A cavalcade of showmanship and gory thrills, you’ll cheer for this underdog as the blood splatter crescendos. Co-starring festival film faves Steve Oram of SIGHTSEERS and Alice Lowe of PREVENGE and GARTH MARENGHI’S DARK PLACE!

“The humor is unapologetically British. Many of my favorite bits had me simultaneously laughing ironically and unironically, both at and with the characters on-screen.”

“A beautifully paced, insightful comedy which, for all its ostensible modesty, seems likely to head straight to the top of the ladder and remain a favourite for years to come.”

“Unabashedly cringe, endearing, and horrifying all at the same time, led by the charismatic Tom Meeten.”
