Synopsis

In the hilariously chaotic world of SCARED SHITLESS, a reluctant plumber and his germophobic son confront a genetically engineered, bloodthirsty creature that’s unleashed chaos within their apartment’s pipes. The film wholeheartedly embraces its B-movie roots and is packed with impressive practical effects that will make you laugh out loud and squirm in your seat. With appearances by iconic Canadian actors, Julian Richings (Cube, Hard Core Logo) and Mark McKinney, it’s a delightful mix of humor and horror that’s unabashedly Canadian.

SCARED SHITLESS at its core is a compelling exploration of genre conventions, merging horror and comedy through the lens of absurdity and self-awareness. The film’s embrace of B-movie aesthetics is both intentional and celebratory, this self-reflexive approach not only serves to entertain but also critiques the very clichés it employs, inviting viewers to engage with the material on a deeper level.

SCARED SHITLESS delivers a fast-paced seventy-minute runtime, expelling gory humor, pointed social commentary, and memorable visual gags in rapid fire. While the storyline adheres to familiar tropes, the film’s playful dialogue and self-referential humor invite a critical examination of genre expectations.
